How Many Runners Are In Each Race at a race night?
- All our races have eight runners.
Do You Take A Cut Of The Profits?
- No we never take a cut of your profits, they are yours to keep. We will provide you with a quotation, and that is what you pay on the night of your event. No VAT or additions.
Do We Need To Provide Any Equipment?
- No, we are fully contained. We will even bring our own table.
- If the venue has plenty of tables, we will leave ours in the van.
Can We Take Card Payments For Betting?
- We highly reccommend the purchase a Sum Up card reader. These allow your guests to pay for their betting by card transaction.
Can We Sell Our Runners (Horses & Jockies) On the Night?
- This is never reccommended, because it takes away funds that your punters would naturally spend on the tote. Therefore your adding extra work for no gain.
- Always pre-sell your runners using our suppied race card templates.
Do You Use Fun Debit Cards?
- Yes, only during during family and corporate events for speed. There is no cash handling, thus keeping the pace exciting.
Why Do You Have A Computerised Tote System?
- For speed and accuracy. Sixty five punters can be served in 7 minutes with one terminal.
- The name of your fundraise is printed on each betting slip for extra exposure.
- Full interactive betting odds are displayed on-screen during the betting.
What About Safety?
- Safety is paramount both to our clients and their guests.
We carry full public liability insurance, and annually PAT test our equipment for electrical safety.
It is for this reason we no longer use artificial grass or fencing.
Do We Need To Send You A Copy Of Our Completed Race Card?
- Always return a copy of your race card by email to Carousal Race Night. Failing to do so will mean your race card will not be projected on screen during the betting, and your race card may not be read out aloud.
- Return your race card in a text format. for example Microsoft Word, or Excel. Tabbed Text or CSV.
