Our standard
package comes complete with a Compere, Video Projector, Giant Screen,
and 8 DVD's each showing a single horse race.
They are produced
in full colour with English (Not American) commentary.
The races each have
8 horses identified by number only. The DVD's
are shown at a special race evening or afternoon arranged by your
organisation.
Your guests choose which horse they think
will win. All the betting is handled by your Compere
Your profits come
from a percentage of the tote sales, the entrance fee, sponsors, and
selling the owners and trainers (explained in our booklet)
Each Video or
DVD is sealed so that nobody knows which horse will win, and is
selected at random by one of the audience.
The seal is then broken and the race shown. That's
when the excitement really begins as members cheer on their own
horse.

to Run a Race Night

everything works and
what is going to happen during the evening.
After the Video the Compere will add any further information and Invite
the Audience to "Pick a Winner"
When all the tote ticket sales are complete a Race DVD is
picked
at random, break the seal, load it, dim the lights and they're off!!

How
to Plan your Race Night
|
You
need
enough room to allow for an informal layout, to ensure people can
move about easily, but with a good view of the Projection Screen.
It's a good idea to put the tables out in a Herringbone fashion so that
only one seat has it's back to the screen.
We can supply a second projector and screen if required.

The
Race Card
|
Don't forget
we print the race card for
you as long as we receive the details 7 days before your event.
Your 'Race Card'
should list all the Races and Sponsors of each race and the Horses.
Since the horses are identified by number only, it does not
matter which DVD is chosen and which names are on the card.
More importantly this Card is a valuable source of income.
Used properly it can cover the cost of your event, and more.
First you can sell the it on the evening for say 10p to £1 or
include it with your admission fee.
Second you can get local firms to sponsor each of the 8 Races,
for say £10 or £15.
They can have the race named after them
e.g. 'Fred Bloggs Stakes' etc.
Third you can sell the horses to members.
They become the 'owners' and their name and choice of
horse name are shown on the card.
If their horse wins they get a prize. (paid for out of
the sale of the owners or donated by the Sponsors)
If you can't sell them before the event, you can try and sell
them on the night. It will take money away from the Tote though.
